We went to both Kumana National Park and Kudumbigala Monastery and everybody thrilled. Our drivers did their best and succeed to cover both places before gates get closed. And also we fortunate to see some animals and birds including elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, dears, and foxes.

Organisation was smooth and we were totally enjoying our time looking at elephants, crocodiles and birds in the park. Since we were visiting the park during Covid time, we appeared to be the only jeep on the territory, you most probably won’t have that luxury if you come during high season. But it’s a great activity to do anyways, totally recommended!

Its pretty long but you see a lot of different kind of animals, you get to picknick for... read more breakfast at the sea, lunch at a little river and mini waterfall, you could swim, the food is really good, drinks and snacks all day long we really want to see the leopard but it’s nature so you never now and the guide kept on looking on different places and finally found one :-). Put the motor off the car out and just relaxing and watch that beautiful animal doing his thing. The guide was also super friendly!   Arugambay Tours arranged our transportation. Imam and I started working together before Covid. Our first trip was cancelled but Imam stayed in touch with me with messages to see... read more how I was and how we were handling the Pandemic. We were finally able to do our trip and nothing was going to stop us, not even a fuel crisis or Protests. We decided that the people needed tourist money now more than ever and we went on our trip.
Even with all the trouble, Imam made sure that our trip worked. He switched cars 4 times due to lack of fuel until he finally settled on a diesel van which we had more most of the trip. We were in Sri Lanka for 3 amazing weeks. Imam not only made sure that we had a good time but made sure that we were safe the whole time.
When we were in Arugam Bay he even invited us to dinner at his house with his beautiful family.
He also arranged surf lessons and a cooking class for us. He is dedicated to his clients and refuses to let them down. I didn't just have a successful trip but feel that I have made a life long friend. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing the Sri Lankan people are, they were friendly to us the whole trip.
We were in Colombo at the Shangri La hotel when the Protest broke out where the people entered the presidential mansion. Imam came to Colombo from Arugam Bay on the day we left, during the protest. He came to the hotel and made sure that we got to the airport safely. He stayed with us at the airport until he was sure we were safe. I cannot endorse this company and this man enough.

It’s was so... read more quite on the lagoon due to the Covid situation so it was a very peaceful trip around the mangroves. Our driver and guide were so kind and I would really recommend if you want to experience something different while staying in Arugam Bay.
